The Baptisia Iron Storage Bag is the perfect compliment to your beautifully sewn storage items in your sewing room! Two different sizes are included in the sewing pattern – a bag for a regular iron, and another for a mini iron.

Finished Size:
- Mini – 9” long x 5-1/2” tall x 6” deep (the bag is tapered at one end) (23cm x 14cm x 15cm)
- Regular – 14” long x 7-1/2” tall x 8” deep (the bag is tapered at one end) (36cm x 19cm x 20cm)
Supplies Needed to Make 1 Bag:
- 2/3 yard/metre of exterior fabric
- 1 yard/metre of lining fabric
- 10“ x 7“ piece of solid-colored fabric for handles
- 1/2 yard/metre of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or automotive headliner; if using Flex Foam, it is only 20” wide, so please purchase 1-1/2 yards)
- 2 yards/metres 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (or med-weight fusible interfacing)
- 1/2 yard/metre of Decovil Heavy (feel free to omit the Decovil Heavy for an easier sew)
- 5” x 2” piece of Decovil Light to reinforce handles (Pellon Decor Bond can also be used)
- for size mini – 24“ double-pull handbag zipper (#4.5 or #5 zipper) *will be trimmed to 22” in Step #4
- for size regular – 40“ double-pull handbag zipper (#4.5 or #5 zipper) *will be trimmed to 32-1/2” in Step #4
- 4 rivets OR Chicago screws
The pdf pattern includes 9 pages of sewing instructions, complete with 22 step-by-step photos.
Also included in the PDF pattern are printable pattern pieces for your home printer. The following files will all be included with your PDF pattern purchase:
- SVG Files (for electric cutting machines, such as the Brother Scan N Cut and the Cricut Maker)
- Projector Files (for use with home projectors for cutting out fabric; please see the group Projectors for Sewing for more information)
- A0 Files (large-format 33″ x 46″ pattern page for printing at your local copy shop, in case you would rather not tape together the pattern pages that are included in the PDF pattern)
