This crossbody bag has a front zippered pocket and additional zippered pockets in the body of the bag for plenty of storage space. A fully-enclosed recessed zipper serves at the top closure of the bag, and there is also a handy adjustable strap.

The pdf pattern includes 12 pages of sewing instructions, complete with 34 step-by-step color photos.

Also included in the PDF pattern are printable pattern pieces for your home printer. The following files will all be included with your PDF pattern purchase:

  • SVG Files (for electric cutting machines, such as the Brother Scan N Cut and the Cricut Maker)
  • Projector Files (for use with home projectors for cutting out fabric; please see the group Projectors for Sewing for more information)
  • A0 Files (large-format 33″ x 46″ pattern page for printing at your local copy shop, in case you would rather not tape together the pattern pages that are included in the PDF pattern)

Supplies Needed to Make This Bag

  • 1 yard/metre of exterior fabric
  • 1 yard/metre of lining fabric
  • 1/3 yard/metre of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or automotive headliner; if using Flex Foam, it is only 20” wide so please purchase 1-1/2 yard)
  • 3 yard/metre 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (or med-weight fusible interfacing)
  • 24” handbag zipper for front pocket (I used a double-pull zipper; 1 pull will work as well)
  • Four 12” handbag zippers (if using zipper by the yard, wait to cut the zippers until directed to in the pattern)
  • Two 1” metal rectangles
  • 1” metal slider
  • 8” x 5” piece of mesh (20cm x 13cm)
