Description
Supplies Needed to Make This Bag (I recommend using quilting cotton for all components of the bag)
- 3/4 yard/metre of Exterior Fabric
- 1-1/2 yard/metre of Lining Fabric
- 1 yard/metre of Solid Fabric
- Two different finishing methods are given for the bottom of the bag (sewing right sides together, and finishing with binding). If you will be finishing your bag with binding, you will need an extra fat quarter of fabric
- 3/4 yard/metre of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or automotive headliner; if using Flex Foam, it is only 20” wide so please purchase 1-1/2 yard)
- 4 yards/metres of 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (or medium-weight fusible interfacing)
- Optional for a rigid bottom: 1 yard of Pellon #71 Peltex fusible interfacing (Decovil Heavy can also be used)
- Two 12” zippers
- 30” double-pull handbag zipper for top zip closure (or 25” long if you are using zipper-by-the-yard)
- 40” double-pull handbag zipper for bottom of bag (or 37” if you are using zipper-by-the-yard)
- Optional: Purse feet
- Optional: Rivets or Chicago screws
For the optional side adjustable strap:
- Two 1” d-rings OR triangle rings
- Two 1” swivel clips
- 1” slider
