Yarn Minder Bag

These bags are perfect for taking your knitting or crochet projects on the go! This pattern includes instructions for 3 different styles of yarn/project storage bags:

Zipper Bag – This bag features a top zipper closure, grommets in the lid, and an adjustable strap. The yarn can be fed through the grommets.
Flap Bag – This bag features a flap that closes with a magnetic snap, and an adjustable strap. The yarn can be fed through the sides of the flap while the flap is closed.
Drawstring Bag – This bag comes together much quicker and features a top handle and a drawstring closed through grommets; this bag can be used to store your project while you are working on it.

The pdf pattern includes 17 pages of sewing instructions, complete with 47 step-by-step color photos.

Supplies Needed to Make This Bag (will make 1 bag)
1 yard/metre of exterior fabric
1-1/4 yard/metre of lining fabric (just 1 yard needed for Drawstring Bag)
3 yard/metre 20” wide Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex fusible woven interfacing (medium-weight fusible interfacing)

For Zipper Bag or Flap Bag only:
1/2 yard/metre of foam interfacing (By Annie’s Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex Foam, Bosal In-R-Form, or automotive headliner; if purchasing Flex Foam, please purchase at least double the amount as it is only 20” wide)
1/3 yard/metre of solid cotton fabric
1/4 yard of mesh fabric
Two 1” metal rectangles
1” metal slider
Two 1/2” swivel clips
Optional: 4 purse feet

For Zipper Bag only:
30” (76cm) handbag zipper
Four 1/2” grommets

For Flap Bag only:
1/2” magnetic snap

For Drawstring Bag only:
Six 1/2” grommets
